A high quality FIBC must be free of production residues. During the cutting and sewing processes for the production of FIBCs, the fabric is electrostatically charged. These fabric loads regularly result in adhesion of minute yarn and fabric remnants and buildup of thermal cutting edge residue. Also insects, human hair and personal belongings of employees are found again and again in newly manufactured FIBC’s. With the cleaning device developed by us a controlled and time-defined internal cleaning of the FIBCs can be carried out. The design of the cleaning system allows a very simple handling. With a high air flow, the FIBCs are reliably rinsed and freed of impurities. The impurities are transported by the air flow in an easy to clean drip tray. A pressure switch controls the volume flow and a time relay determines the cleaning cycle of the FIBCs. These controls ensure that all FIBCs in an order are cleaned with equal intensity. Depending on volume and design, it takes between 8 and 25 seconds to clean a FIBC.
